We're happy to share this with you as we also celebrate our cafe's 2nd year anniversary. Introducing the first coffee for our Exquisite line. Finca La Reforma. A Guatemalan Geisha!
Finca La Reforma is between 1400-1800 meters above sea level and was founded in 1904 by the founder Mr. Manuel Pérez. At the beginning, it was planting tobacco, corn and other beans, and later by his son Leonardo. For the same agricultural products, he didn’t start planting coffee trees until 1939. Today this estate has been passed down to the fourth generation for management. For the Pérez`s family, coffee has become a very important income because the planting area has reached 74 hectares. And besides the traditional coffee varieties, of course there are also Geisha grown. In the 2018 Guatemala Cup Of Excellence competition, Geisha beans were used to compete and won the championship in one fell swoop. In 2019, they also won the Cup Of Excellence seventh place with a washed Geisha.
For this coffee, we're tasting notes of bright citrus, accompanied by sweet juiciness with jasmine floral tones and tea-like finish. A very traditional tasting geisha paired with juiciness you expect from a Guatemalan coffee.
